Tresor is one of the most in?uential brands in the world of electronic music, arguably an institution. It stands as a particular symbol for the re-uni?cation of the youth in East and West Berlin and for the beginnings of a new musical generation inspired by techno and electronic dance music. Tresor became the mother ship of a new music movement that swept through the city, the country and finally throughout many parts of the world. A music movement that co-founded Berlin's current status as one of the world's liveliest cities, a unique place for creative industries.
Now, 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and 20 years into his infancy the Tresor "Institution" is now building a new bridge between the East and the West. The crossing of Berlin?s former boarders is now finding its extension between the Beijing and Berlin.
Tresor.Beijing supports and develops the exchange between Chinese and German artists and its audience. It will form a centre for electronic music and arts and a cultural, a platform for crossing artistic visions from a spectrum of creative disciplines, a place of exchange, inspiration and future. As the name implies it shall be a space for Beijing and the people living here, forming part of it?s new and rapidly developing identity.
Tresor.Beijing now builds the first steps of this bidirectional cultural bridge between the sister cities of Beijing and Berlin, with contribution from strong partners, sponsors and friends focusing on long term success.
